Riverside Hall and Marquee commenced operations in 2004 and is an events venue that caters for all kinds of functions. Be it team building,weddings,corporate functions, christenings,funerals, gala events and evenings, dances, year end and themed parties – we can supply the right venue for it all
Our Marquee covers an area of 35m x 21m and it has a large serving kitchen, it’s own parking, bar and toilets. The area was divided up in the past to create a chapel area for weddings of up to 150.
For Wedding Groups we supply the following:
Draping of hall and chapel. White, Black or Hessian only
Organza sashes and overlays – Riverside Colours only. 16 Available. (Any other colour at an additional cost)
Setting of tables
All tables needed: 10 Seater round for guests and various options for main table.
With black or white linen tablecloths. (Any other colour or fabric at an additional cost.)
Serviettes: Only white linen (Any other colour at an additional cost)
Chairs with or without white fitted chair-covers (Any other colour at an additional cost)
Crockery, Cutlery and glasses
Guest-list Board and Table Numbers:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

We require a R3000.00 refundable deposit for possible breakages and damage or cancellation fee.
The deposit is non-refundable should bookings be cancelled within 6 months prior to function -
Receipt of deposit and signed contract secures date. (This is not part of the rental fee)
Smoking is not allowed anywhere inside the building, marquee or chapel. -
Music and entertainment to be restricted to acceptable levels, as we have to comply with the Local Noise Control Legislation.

All alcohol, mixers and juices to be purchased from Riverside Hall. Any person found consuming

alcohol on the premises not bought from Riverside Hall will result in immediate and total forfeiture of deposit and any damages or breakages and other charges will then be charged to the signee of the contract, who agrees to pay on demand.

Premises to be vacated by 00:30. A fee of R600.00 per half hour or part thereof will be levied against deposit for any persons still on the premises after 00:30.

Decorators and other subcontractors are to remove all their equipment directly after the function ends. Please make them aware of this and get their commitment to comply. Late clearing will affect functions following yours and will result in a R500.00 charge against your deposit.

Deliveries accepted during office hours. (8:00 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday.The service will not continue if the Final Payment has not been made 10 (ten) working days prior to the function/wedding by means of a cash deposit or electronic transfer into our bank account and we have received the faxed proof thereof. Cheques need to have been cleared at least ten working days prior to the function.
- We are not a registered credit provider and can therefore not run accounts. All fees due must be paid prior to the function/wedding.
